Air Sulfur & Air Iron Filters

Impression® and Impression® Plus Air Sulfur (IMPS) and Air Iron (IMPFE) Filters are extremely effective in removing sulfur and iron, commonly associated with problematic well-water. The systems use air-injection to oxidize sulfur or iron into precipitates that can be readily filtered and removed.

Impression Plus Air Systems

Impression Plus® AirCat (IPACG/IPAG) Water Filters are designed to reduce iron and hydrogen sulfide and correct mildly acidic water. The innovative design of the AirCat uses a unique air-injection filtering technology with custom media blends that oxidize iron and sulfur into precipitates that can easily be filtered and removed. AirCat systems are environmentally safe — no chemicals are used. AirCat is your perfect well water solution!

Impression Plus Backwashing Filters

Impression Plus filters are specifically designed to effectively and efficiently treat a multitude of water problems, from both city and well sources. These flexible backwashing filters are used to treat water based on the media used.

 

How It Works

​

IMBF:  Turbidex — Particle Removal
This high quality, granular zeolite media is produced from a unique mineral deposit that has high surface area and porosity, making this media preferred over conventional sand. The surface of this media features microscopic minerals that allow particulate matter to penetrate deeply into the bed.

​

IMBF:  Carbon — Taste and Odor
Chlorine and slight sulfur odors can often be removed by a carbon filter unit. However, when odors are extreme, your water treatment professional may recommend a chemical feed system to help increase the life of a carbon unit. In such installations, this series of filters will effectively remove taste and odor associated with chlorine and sulfur.

IMBF-AN:  Acid Neutralizer
Treats acidic water that can be harmfully corrosive to your entire plumbing system.

IMAN-IMF:  Versatile Filter
When your household system simply needs a little extra filtering. This versatile filter can be used as an upflow acid neutralizer (IMAN) or a downflow filter (IMF).

Two specific Impression Series® filters, Air Sulfur (IMS) and Air Iron (IMFE), are extremely effective in removing hydrogen sulfide and iron, which is common in well water. These innovative Impression Air Charge Filters are environmentally safe—unlike other systems, no toxic chemicals are used.
